Basic Suturing for Midwives: A Full-Day Skills Workshop
Laceration repair is one of the most critical skills in the midwifery toolkit — and one that demands hands-on practice to do well. This full-day workshop gives senior midwifery students and practicing CPMs dedicated time to build and refine suturing technique in a small-group, skills-focused setting.
Topics include:
Tissue handling and wound assessment
Instrument tie and suture technique
First and second degree laceration repair
Perineal anatomy review
Documentation and postpartum follow-up care
Eligibility: Open to students enrolled in a MEAC-accredited program or NARM Phase 2/3 students working with a NARM-approved preceptor.
NARM preceptor signatures available — bring your own documents.
NARM Category 2 CEUs available. Supplies and equipment provided.
